9. You can be whoever you want to be on the road. I’m not talking about aliases, here. I mean that in our everyday lives, we tend to get in a rut. Sometimes we’re afraid to try new things for fear we’ll look silly in front of people who know us. Solo travelers don’t have to worry about that on the road. Who cares if you make a fool of yourself singing in a karaoke bar? You’ll never see these people again! Live it up!
8. Humans are more observant of their surroundings when alone, without a companion to distract them with conversation. Solo travel will allow you to soak up so many more details—and you’ll have more time to record them in a journal or in photographs.
